I was very pleased by the quality of both the design and manufacture of these 8×32 specialty binoculars. They are sturdy without being overly heavy. The heavy rubber coating provides both protection and a good grip. They have excellent eye relief and smooth focusing. The optics are sharp that yield a pleasant, neutral white disc. There is minimal color aberrations on the edges that have no impact on the detail. If you want to use a tripod adapter with them, be sure to get one that is skinny enough to fit between the two barrels.
Note that these can be used for observing only one object: details on the surface of the Sun. With them, you can clearly see sunspots and planetary transits. You won’t see solar flares on the edges, features that require one of their excellent, but much more expensive, H-alpha scopes.
These are well worth the price, if only for the educational opportunities they present. For astronomy enthusiasts, these provide a quick and convenient way to check for any interesting activity. The upcoming eclipse is a great “excuse” to buy them, but they will continue to serve you for many years.

These are pretty cool — the sun appears as a large white disk, against a black background, with larger sun spots visible. They seem to be well-built and include a case, neck strap and cleaning cloth. Color is not exactly red, more of a salmon or ruby-red grapefruit color. Looking forward to using them for the eclipse.

Excellent product! Very happy I purchased these sunoculars. I had no problems finding the sun. Sunspots were clearly visible. They worked great for the eclipse. When I saw they were from Lunt, I decided immediately to buy them. Now I can observe the sun at a moment’s notice.

I bought these for the eclipse and still keep using them for everyday viewing of the sun. Worth the bucks, buy yourself one! Too cool!

Bought them to use for the Aug 21, 2017 Great American Eclipse in Madras, Oregon. Lightweight, compact, felt great in hands, eye cups that pop out to ensure safety…all my surrounding neighbors at the campsite wanted to borrow them…and preferred using them. Great quality.

Great Sunoculars! Who knew these even existed!! Used them for the total eclipse this past August! What a blast to view the eclipse with a little magnification! Would recommend as part of any solar eclipse kit!!
