Monclova is a cool place to visit. If you haven’t been here before, you are probably wondering what landmarks in Monclova to visit. We’ll discuss that below. If you haven’t started planning your trip to Monclova, you should. If you need a good reason to visit, we’ll give you one. The next solar eclipse is going to be visible on April 8, 2024, and you will not want to miss it. Monclova is right in the path of the eclipse, and there will be the perfect opportunity to see one of these fantastic events. Be sure to be prepared with plenty of eclipse glasses. As for which landmarks in Monclova to visit, we have three that are easily our top three favorites.

Plaza de las Garzas- One of the best light show landmarks in Monclova-

This is a busy square in Monclova that is known for its fountain and light show. Our favorite time to go is when it’s just a little bit windy but still warm. The light breeze will pick up some of the water and carry it and give those visiting a refreshing mist to cool them off. This is a favorite place for kids to play and run around and it’s fun to see them have so much fun with the fountain.

One of the best times to go is at night. There is an amazing light show that goes on at night that lights up the water and captures the attention of all who visit. The parking here can be tricky, but it’s still worth the visit.Landmarks in Monclova

Plaza Zapopan- Best of the artistic landmarks in Monclova-

If you love art and bright colors, then you will not want to miss this landmark. It almost looks like something out of a Disney village. We aren’t even entirely sure what the history is behind it, but it’s definitely a must see. There are sorts of brightly painted works of art on the buildings. They aren’t just paintings though, they have been portrayed in such a way that it embodies the people who visit.

Many people take their pictures with the paintings and end up looking like they are part of what’s going on in the picture. One painting is an old woman hunched over watering her plant. Another is a bike that looks real enough that people get their picture taken trying to get on the bike. Other fantastic paintings are fun to look at. It’s bright, it’s culturally accurate, and it’s imaginative. Whoever thought up these paintings had a knack for making people feel happy when they look at them. They show characters in a simpler time. Overall, this is probably our favorite of the three.Landmarks in Monclova

Plaza Principal- Best of the meeting point landmarks in Monclova-

If you just want to get a feel for the hustle and bustle of the city, then come to plaza principal. It’s the cities central plaza and the heart of the town. It’s not so much of a tourist spot, but more of a centralized meeting spot. It’s got some government buildings like city hall, banks, local businesses and eating stands around it. In fact, some of the locals come to the plaza just for the hot dogs. They’ve been a plaza staple for the last 34 years. There are some pretty architecturally important and iconic buildings across the street from the plaza. One is the main Catholic Church in the city, and the other is one of the local government buildings. The church has been around since the foundation of the town.

In the plaza, you will also see a giant dump bucket steel statue that was erected in honor of the towns local steel mill. You can come to the square and relax on one of the many benches and take in the vibe of the city. The plaza also has a flagpole and some gardens that can be enjoyed.
