Built like a pair of nice birding binoculars with twist out eye cups. Nice crisp view of solar disk. Should be a real plus to have handy during the eclipse.

This was a great tool to view the Aug 21, 2017 eclipse. Initially I thought it is not working because you cannot see anything else but the sun and you have to have the binoculars pointing at the sun to be able to see it. Even a slight bit off, and you will think you are pointing at sun and see nothing, so the binoculars must be broken! NOPE – try it again, exactly pointing at the sun. Initially I had to search the sun while looking through the binoculars, but slowly got hold of how to locate the sun while viewing through it. The view is amazing and is perfectly comfortable for the eyes.

I used these to view the recent total eclipse of the sun. I was able to see sunspots before the eclipse started progressing. I compared looking through these versus regular eclipse glasses. The difference in the size of the sun was amazing and lead to a much more enjoyable experience. I will continue to use these to view sunspots.

I was so glad to watch the eclipse event of my lifetime with these well made binoculars. The people around, some NASA engineers from Huntsville included, shared info and the binoculars for a safe and up close view of the Sun’s surface, solar storms, and the first view of Mercury I have longed to see. I will continue to use for transits across the Sun as well as more solar storms and flares. Luntsolarsystems.com
Enjoy… Remember, don’t look at the Sun directly. Focus in with the binoculars.

Shipped quickly, worked great for the eclipse. The Sun appeared whiter and in much higher definition (sunspots visible) than through the typical glasses. When I look at the lenses from the outside, it appears as if there are scratches on the inside, but for all I know that is just some artifact of the manufacturing process, as they work perfectly.

Super helpful for the eclipse. Shared it with some peeps in Walhala, NC and the definition was awesome, it’s like you were on the moon!
