SAFE FOR DIRECT SOLAR VIEWING

This listing is for a 5 pack of Eclipse Gear SUNsafe solar eclipse sunglasses.

SUNSAFE SOLAR ECLIPSE SUNGLASSES

Viewing an eclipse of the Sun is one of the most exciting and educational natural event in our solar system.  But if it is done wrong, it is undoubtedly one of the most dangerous things a person can view. Therefore the best way to protect yourself is with a pair of specially made solar eclipse glasses. Our solar eclipse glasses are 100% safe and certified. We have experienced that problems that some people will face during the upcoming eclipse. Unfortunately, some people will not plan ahead and will not have the proper protection to look at the eclipse. As it gets closer to the event, the solar eclipse glasses become scarce. Therefore, buying a pair of eclipse glasses, close to the date of the eclipse, is not only difficult, it’s expensive.  This is one time you don’t want to procrastinate.

So purchase plenty of glasses well in advance so you won’t be the person that is left out.

Solar Eclipse Glasses are ideal for viewing the partial phases of an Eclipse. This is the time when the damage from looking directly at the Sun is most likely.

BEFORE EACH USE: Check front and back of each lens for damage such as scratches, pinholes or separation from frame.  If damaged, cut into small pieces and discard.  DO NOT attempt to clean or disinfect (under general conditions of use this should not be necessary).

WARNING: NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN WITHOUT SPECIAL EYE PROTECTION.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Wear your Eclipse Glasses to protect your eyes from solar radiation any time you look directly at the Sun or the Sun’s reflection.  When looking at a solar eclipse, use your Eclipse Glasses whenever ANY PART of the Sun, no matter how small, is visible.  This product should not be used with any other optical appliances such as cameras, telescopes or binoculars.  This product is NOT a toy.  Children should use only with adult supervision.

DO NOT USED IF DAMAGED. Using damaged Eclipse Glasses can result in severe eye injury.

Significantly, our  Eclipse Glasses are absolutely safe for direct viewing of the sun and solar eclipses.

Also, we have not been recalled. We have met all of Amazon’s safety requirements.

Certified Safety. SUNGlasses meet the ISO 12312-2 (2015) international standard for solar viewers. Also they are CE certified which meets the transmission requirements of scale 12-16 of EN 169/1992

Furthermore, protect your eyes. Eclipse SUNglasses filter out 100% of harmful ultra-violet, 100% of harmful infrared, and 99.999% of intense visible light.

These premium filters create a sharp orange-colored image of the sun.

The backside is printed with safety information (English translation only). The frame is heavy card stock.

Schools and Educational Facilities: Eclipse Gear offer discounted educational packages to qualifying schools and educators. Contact Eclipse Gear to discuss your educational requirements.

Finally, see if you might be in the path of an upcoming solar eclipse.

These glasses are properly rated for sun spotting and I got them for the upcoming eclipse. I tried them out upon arrival and noticed you cannot see anything through them except for the sun. When you put them on, be prepared to see the sun like never before! I was amazed to see the dark spot on the sun with my own eyes! Up to this point, I’ve only seen it in pictures and documentaries.

With care, these glasses will last a long time and can be used for sun spotting well after this eclipse.

It is critical that you purchase ISO and CE Certified eclipse glasses for the up coming solar eclipse! These are well priced, certified glasses that came in 2 days! They are perfect. Thank you.

Unbelievably quick shipping (standard shipping selected) in a padded envelope. I tested the product already and have looked at the sun with comfort and no symptoms related to eye discomfort/damage. Excited to use these for the upcoming eclipse.

The waves and ripples in the film is a natural part of the manufacturing process as with any similar 3D glasses you get at a movie theater. The manufacturer confirms that the glasses are still in tact and useable with these ripples, it is just a cosmetic nuisance.

As far as the actual product goes, I knowingly ordered a piece of cardboard with plastic films for approximately $5 a piece. I was not expecting to receive NASA grade solar glasses. They have the ISO certification printed on them and that’s exactly what I ordered and what was pictured.

Lastly, after reading that people could see their household lightbulb I tested them out as soon as I received them. I looked all around my house and saw absolutely nothing. I went outside and, even on an overcast day, looked at the sun and saw just a little bit of light peering out behind the clouds. I don’t foresee having any issue using these during the Eclipse.

These are exactly what I expected to recieve.

So I wanted to do a quick review for those last last minute buyers before Monday’s (8/21/17) lunar eclipse! I bought these Monday (8/14/17) at 10 pm. They were back in stock yesterday (8/16/17) and I just received them today, Thursday (8/17/17). They came in a box with air bubble wrap. And I am guessing despite the subtle waviness of the lenses (someone please correct me if I’m wrong bc I don’t want to go blind on Monday), they are in pristine, new condition (see pics). All five pair were the same style. But everything appears to be okay. Amazon let me purchase them after the recall had been sent out and I haven’t heard anything negative about my purchase so far, so I believe these are good to go if you are on the fence about quality or officially certified for solar viewing. Happy viewing everyone!
