just what I had hoped! The 6x magnification is just right. It fills about half of the field of view. Eclipse here I come!

Okay…just used these to watch the eclipse in my area. They worked great! I do have a question about a tinge of hot pink and green that I saw around the edges of the sun as the moon partially covered the sun’s surface. Were these normal for the event? Or was it the lenses doing their job? Don’t know. But I’m so glad I bought these instead of more expensive, paper products that ‘might’ not have been safe given the recall for those sold on Amazon. I did research these glasses before I ever put them to my eyes and found no organizations badly reviewing them. In fact, I couldn’t find anyone saying anything bad at all. I believe I did see them ‘okayed’ by some highly touted agencies. At any rate, I saw everything I wanted to see…much more than I expected. Very happy with the purchase because now I have some glasses to continue viewing the sun. Again…these were far less expensive than the paper glasses sold; I’ll bet they’ll last a whole lot longer. I even believe I saw a few sunspots.

Used this during the eclipse. Stunningly good. The only catch is that it is, ironically, hard to find the sun! Practice a couple times first. The one piece of advice I’d give is that it’s higher than you think.

holy moly, saw the eclipse perfectly (yes, only works looking at the sun because it needs that kind of light intensity to get through the strong filters) because its a small magnification and small aperture, it could take some practice and steady hands to find the sun. Don’t give up, its worth it.

So much more detail than with just “glasses” or a filter. Sun spot crisp and clear to observe. (Takes a minutes to get used to and “finding the sun” in the sky, don’t get impatient!)
